I made my nephews their birthday cards using the Mickey Font cartridge. They always celebrate their "family" birthdays together since the birthdays are only a few days apart and they live pretty far from everyone. I better get these in the mail since we aren't able to be there this year. All paper is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for looking. :)

Birthday Card and a scrapbook layout...
Well, I posted my card and layout and then blogger changed my interface and after I published it, it was on some blog post that was brand new, so I don't know what happened, but here I go again. Instead of writing everything again, I will just post the pics and then if there are any questions, I will answer them.

Finally...
Well, I finally was able to get into my craft room and set it up. I actually re-organized the room three times and now I think I am happy with it. For a while anyway. ;)
I made a card and now I am working on a layout. I will post pics soon. I hope to be able to craft more now that I am settled in. :) Feels great to get back to crafting!

Moved
Well, I have moved across country and I hope to get my craft room together pretty soon so I can start creating again. It's been a long time and will feel good to get into my boxes and unpack things. Everything will seem like its new again. :)

50th Birthday!
Here are a few items I made for a 50th birthday. I had fun, but putting the M&M's in bags one by one was very time consuming. Well, they weren't really M&M's, they were Reeses Pieces. I sandwiched peppermint patties in between two scallop circles. I used some Stampendous stamps for the "party" and "50" that I adhered to the circles. I used Life's A Party and Sweet treats to make the party favor boxes and put Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and some of the peppermint patties in the favor boxes.

Home Sweet Home ATC Swap
I signed up for a swap over at the cricut MB. It's been such a long time since I've done a swap. An ATC is an "Artist Trading Card" and the base needs to be 3 1/2" x 2 1/2".
I used an Inkadinkadoo stamp set for the birds and birdhouse. I stamped the birdhouse twice. Once on blue paper and once on brown textured paper then cut them out and added the brown trim and hole. The birds were stamped on brown paper with buttercream stazon and then I used an I-rock gem used on the eyes. The branch is from the Create A Critter cartridge. The "Home Tweet Home" is from a Technique Tuesday stamp set. I used the D'vine Swirls cuttlebug folder for the background. Cardstock is from Stampin' Up!; Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, So Saffron and Brocade Blue.
Here is the back of the ATC with all my info. I used the same stamp set to stamp the theme on it, but had to change the Tweet to Sweet by handwriting an "S". I hope they like them. I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with.

Old Fashioned Festival Layout
Every year at the end of July, our town holds an "Old Fashioned Festival" that runs Thursday through Sunday. On Saturday night, they put on a spectacular firework show. Here is a layout featuring this years display.
I used the Summer Vacation cricut cartridge for the ferris wheel and the kiddie ride. I punched out stars from various punch manufacturers and I made the background paper with stamps. The words for the title were written on a ticket punch from EK Success
I made these tickets, so if you look close they all have the same number because it was a stamp. Lol. I then took a small punch and clipped out little half circles and made dots for the perforations.
I punched out stars and then glued a shiny background to the back of the paper and then glued a smaller star in the middle to make my borders.

2 New cards
I used the "B is for Boys" cricut cartridge, Happy Birthday cuttlebug folder, and I cut paper into rectangles for the blocks before I embossed the paper. I then lightly sanded it, to bring out the design.
This next card, I used some dollar stamps and the background paper is from Cosmo Cickets "Get Happy". The solid cardstock, ribbon, and scallop punch are from Stampin' Up!

Stamping my own background paper
I have a ton of paper for scrapbooking and card making, but sometimes I still like to design my own. Here is a piece of paper I stamped and then some items I made out of it.
Stampin' Up! inks used were Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Kiwi Kiss |
Stampin' Up! scallop border punch |
This little birdie is from the Create A Critter cartridge
This sentiment is from the Doodletype cartridge. I also used the Sizzix Top note die from Stampin' Up!

I decorated a pillow box here and made a tag (Stampin' Up! die cut and punches)
Here all all the items using one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper

New EK Success Border Punch
I got the new border punch and had to make a card with it right away. I love this punch! It is huge and a little hard to punch, but definitely worth it. I used paper from the Sweet Stack from DCWV, and from Stampin' Up! ~ Pretty in Pink, Real Red and Chocolate Chip. I used both tag punches from SU also. The scalloped border is punched from a SU punch.
I took a little time and put background paper behind the cupcakes, and pop dotted them. I also just took a picture of what the border looks like cut out in white cardstock.

Envelope Mini Book
Here is a mini book made from envelopes that I made quite a while ago. I am just slow on getting the pics taken and posted. The papers I used for the most part are from Making Memories "Chelsea's Place", and Stampin' Up! cardstock. I inked all the edges using Stampin' Up! inks. The stamps are misc stamps from my collection.
Here are just a few of the pages and tags. There are a lot more pages, but you get the idea. I love how it came out.
